St. Francis Day & Blessing of the Animals

The annual celebration of St. Francis Day and Blessing of the Animals is held on the campus of st-francis-episcopal-church on the first Sunday of October each year. This free community event celebrates St. Francis of Assisi and our animal companions.

Event Highlights

• Pet Parade & Liturgy: A parade around campus followed by a short Episcopal liturgy and animal blessing.
• Family Activities: A petting zoo and pony rides.
• Community Vendors: Pet sitters, boarding facilities, and a veterinarian on-site.
• Pet Adoption: Area placement and adoption facilities bring adoptable pets looking for new homes.
