This week’s scripture from Romans 8 speaks to us: “The Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.”

Outreach Task Force news from Gay Moore:

July continues to be a busy time for outreach at St. Francis. Stock Their Lockers, in conjunction with the Samaritan Center, continues throughout the month. Lists of needed supplies are available in the narthex. With supplies becoming more expensive, parents need assistance more than ever. Please consider a donation.

Drive-Thru Prayer Lunch for Teachers and Staff, sponsored by the East Hamilton Ministerial Association, is scheduled for July 30. The drive-through event will be held at St. Francis from 11:00 until about 1:00. Last year, we served over 300 teachers and staff. We need volunteers to help pack sack lunches and greet the teachers. Volunteers will gather at 10:00. This is a fun event, so do consider coming.

The funeral for Tommy Gunter, Teresa Cameron’s father, is this Sunday at 2:00 pm, with reception before the funeral.

There is no Evening Worship or Bible Study this week while Lou is away.  Both will resume next Wednesday, July 29.

Please pray for all on our prayer lists including those recently added:

  • Robby Clark and Family
  • Callaway DeHooge
  • Mike Hudson
  • Tori Vogel
  • Olivia
  • Victims of recent violence, disasters and storms.

This week on our Parish Family Prayer Cycle we are praying for:

  • Beverly Roberts & Tom Daugherty
  • Maribel & Doug Deal
  • Jane & George Diamantis

We continue to pray for all who recently died and those who mourn their loss, including:

  • Eric Clark, friend of the Cameron’s
  • Victims of recent violence, disasters and storms

We give thanks for the birth of Callaway Magnolia DeHooge, grandchild of Pam & Greg Love.
