This week’s scripture from Psalm 139 speaks to us: “Indeed, there is not a word on my lips, but you, O Lord, know it altogether.”

Following is the prayer that Lou read in Sunday’s service from the Book of Common Prayer, page 461:

"This is another day, O Lord. I know not what it will bring forth, but make me ready, Lord, for whatever it may be. If I am to stand up, help me to stand bravely. If I am to sit still, help me to sit quietly. If I am to lie low, help me to do it patiently. And if I am to do nothing, let me do it gallantly. Make these words more than words, and give me the Spirit of Jesus. Amen."

Outreach Task Force news from Gay Moore:

Our second visit to Hosanna Community is scheduled for tonight. We will meet in the church parking lot at 4:00 pm to carpool. Please join us if you are able!

July continues to be a busy time for outreach at St. Francis. Stock Their Lockers, in conjunction with the Samaritan Center, continues throughout the month. Lists of needed supplies are available in the narthex. With supplies becoming more expensive, parents need assistance more than ever. Please consider a donation.

Drive-Thru Prayer Lunch for Teachers and Staff, sponsored by the East Hamilton Ministerial Association, is scheduled for July 30. The drive-through event will be held at St. Francis from 11:00 until about 1:00. Last year, we served over 300 teachers and staff. We need volunteers to help pack sack lunches and greet the teachers. Volunteers will gather at 10:00. This is a fun event, so do consider coming.

The funeral for Tommy Gunter, Teresa Cameron’s father, is Sunday, July 26 at 2:00 pm, with reception before the funeral.
