This week’s scripture from Romans 8 speaks to us: “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.”
A huge thank you to Carol Woody for the Carillon 4th of July bell ringing and concert. We are very grateful that Robbie Tullock came and set up the AV equipment so many could enjoy it in the cool of the Parish Hall. It was special to have the chance to join with our Adventist friends who use the space on Saturdays as we listened together on the 4th.
Outreach Task Force news from Gay Moore:
July continues to be a busy time for outreach at St. Francis. Stock Their Lockers, in conjunction with the Samaritan Center, continues throughout the month. Lists of needed supplies are available in the narthex. With supplies becoming more expensive, parents need assistance more than ever. Please consider a donation.
Drive-Thru Prayer Lunch for Teachers and Staff, sponsored by the East Hamilton Ministerial Association, is scheduled for July 30. The drive-through event will be held at St. Francis from 11:00 until about 1:00. Last year, we served over 300 teachers. We need volunteers to help pack sack lunches and greet the teachers. Volunteers will gather at 10:30. This is a fun event, so do consider coming.
Our second visit to Hosanna Community is scheduled for July 14. We will be bringing dinner and sharing the evening with the residents. Our last visit was well received and enjoyed by the residents and the volunteers. Please consider joining us!
