Dear Ones:
For the past eight years, Dr. Pamela Harris has served as St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church's organist and pianist. How blessed we have been by her sharing of her musical gifts with us!
I confess to being surprised by Pam's decision to resign her position with us. At the same time she has clearly stated that she views this as starting a new chapter in her life.
As she writes in her letter, her last Sunday will be November 1, 2026. We do want to take time that Sunday to honor her, to celebrate her time with us, and to thank her for all her years of service.
Prior to her telling me about her resignation, Pam did reach out to Dr. Matthew Krepps to ask him about his availability to be the substitute organist when she left. Matthew will be on the organ November 8 and is committed to us already through the end of 2026. That gives us all time to work on next steps.
As always I remain an email or call away: 423-883-0956.
Please do join me in expressing our deep gratitude for Pam and for all she has done. Also join me in fervent prayers for her as she makes this significant transition in her life. May God guide, guard, and keep her in the shelter of Divine Hands.
With many prayers for all,
Lou

Dear Rev. Lou, Deacon John, the Vestry, and all the members of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church:
It has been my honor and privilege to be your organist for the last eight years.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with my fellow musicians, including Kirsten Herzog Lankford, Sarah Trotter Tullock, and Chuck Nix, and serving on the Worship Committee.
My life will soon be entering a new chapter in November, which I will tell you more about as things develop.
I have let Lou know that my last Sunday as your organist will be November 1.
I have thoroughly enjoyed you, my colleagues, and the fine instruments I’ve been privileged to play. It’s been a beautiful blessing every Sunday to be in service here.
Thank you for warmly including me in the St. Francis family. I love you and will miss you dearly.
With a thankful heart,
Pamela Harris
